Getting Medical Document
To receive a recommendation for medical cannabis you must be assessed by a licensed healthcare practitioner. Once assessed, the practitioner will determine if you are a good candidate for medical cannabis treatment. If you are approved they will issue a medical document.

Typically, the first medical document will be for approximately 3 months. This allows you to test the treatment and ensure its working for you. After that you will need to return to renew your document and so the healthcare practitioner can evaluate how the treatment is working. After that, if the treatment is working, the medical document will typically be renewed for 6 months to 1 year.
